ABOUT

METAMORPHOSIS — "A process of transformation an individual undergoes when experiencing mental and spiritual maturity; a rebirth and blossoming of self."

this design is part of the triage of hoodies slated to release throughout early 2021. this collection is titled SELF-CARE.

the design has a "wear-and-tear" distressing. in doing so, it provides a vintage feel and aesthetic without compromising the quality of the physical product. 

DESIGNER'S NOTES

"the collection, SELF-CARE, consists of three designs all centered around the betterment of oneself. not only does each design present a message of its own, but it is stylistically different from one another, evoking the emotions associated with said message. however, each design all share a common attribute: the overabundant usage of butterflies. the butterfly's symbolism and meaning are a metaphor representing spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, and renewal. the butterfly closely mirrors the process of spiritual transformation and serves to remind us that life is short.
